Want to come in with a friend, family member, or partner and get matching tattoos/tattoos together? I love it!
Each friend must fill out a waiver form if they haven't done so at Kriya Beauty before. They can find it under "Fine Line Tattoo Forms" on the booking calendar. Ignore the calendar prompt; just select a random date to proceed.
Here is the direct link to the waiver form
Browse my flash designs either down below or there may be featured options on our Instagram
Each design has a set price and how much time to book listed next to it
To book, go to the website calendar and select "Fine Line Tattoos - Flash Appointment" and then select the proper amount of "add on" time if needed. You can send a screenshot of the design, and/or flash # so I know what stencil to have ready for you.
See you at your appointment!
If you are 16 or 17 years old: you must have your parent/legal guardian come in and sign for you prior to your tattoo OR fill out the Parental Consent Form prior to booking your tattoo. However, it is not mandatory for them to stay with you for the duration of getting your tattoo. Find the form on the booking page under "Fine Line Tattoos - FORMS" then choose "Fine Line Tattoo parental consent form". They will also just ignore the calendar prompt; just select a random date to continue.

Blood Clotting Disorders:
Conditions like hemophilia, thrombocytopenia, and fibrinopenia can cause excessive bleeding, leading to uneven colors and blurred lines in tattoos. Consult your doctor before getting a tattoo.
Diabetes:
Type 1 and complex type 2 diabetes can prolong healing (up to 2 months) and complicate the tattoo process due to increased pain and adrenaline, which affects blood sugar levels.
Chronic Conditions:
Ongoing treatment is required for severe conditions such as HIV, AIDS, hepatitis, psoriasis, eczema, and hypertension. Always consult your healthcare provider before considering a tattoo.
Colds (flu, ARVI) with fever
Acute allergic skin reactions
Weakened immune system
Exacerbation of chronic diseases
Recent stroke
Intoxication (alcohol or drugs)
Skin damage in the tattoo area
Pregnant women should avoid tattoos; breastfeeding clients can decide for themselves.
Temporary contraindications are often overlooked but are crucial, as tattooing can stress the body and affect healing. Always prioritize consultation with your healthcare provider.
Eat Well: Have a hearty meal 1-3 hours before your appointment (or a nutritious snack for smaller tattoos) to maintain energy and stabilize blood sugar. Protein aids healing.
Bring Snacks: Pack snacks and drinks for breaks to stay hydrated and energized. Good options include water, juice, granola bars, and candy.
Sunburn: Wait until any sunburn heals before getting tattooed.
Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Do not consume excessive alcohol or caffeine 24 hours prior, as they can thin your blood and increase sensitivity.
Shaving: Do not shave the area beforehand; I will handle this upon arrival to avoid razor burn or ingrown hairs.
Numbing: If you plan to use numbing cream, please apply it before arriving, or let me know so we can allow extra time. I recommend Zensa brand
Menstrual Sensitivity: Be aware that you may be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
Leave the tegaderm on for 3-7 days, the longer it stays on, the better
this helps keep it safe from water exposure
Immediately after tegaderm comes off, wash with gentle soap and apply the balm
apply balm for 7-14 days (until completely healed, there should be no more scabs to see/feel)
No direct sunlight while healing or submerging the tattoo (showers are fine)
After the tattoo has healed, apply SPF daily to keep it protected
Let tattoo heal for a minimum of 4-6 weeks prior to a touch up
What to expect during healing:
Healing stage 1
skin around tattoo will be red, it should subside in a few hours. Contact a physician if it lasts longer than 1-3 days, as it could be a sign of infection.
tattooed area will release a fluid called plasma. With the plasma, you may see some ink. Because of the tegaderm it may make the tattoo look blurry, do not worry. The area under the bandage is sealed and sterile.
Healing stage 2
After you have left the tegaderm bandage on for as long as possible, wash the area with a gentle soap and always PAT dry.
We do not want the tattoo to dry out so apply the healing balm 5-7 times a day.
During the first few days is when you'll experience the most itchiness, it is important not to itch the area. Put pressure on it, scractch around, or slap it to ease the itch.
If you lose or run out of balm, you may use aquaphor. Do not use neosporin or polysporin because it can cause fading to the tattoo.
Things not to do in the healing process:
No direct sunlight to the area throughout healing
Do not scratch or pick scabs
Do not wear tight clothing over the tattoo
Do not immerse your body into water (no swimming, hot tubs or baths)
If you know you're allergic to adhesives (bandaids, tapes), gently wash the tattoo in 4 hours and start the healing balm process.
Water blisters under the bandaid are an indication that you're allergice to the tegaderm bandage so simply remove the bandage and start the healing balm process. The water blisters will clear up naturally on their own within a few days.
If you aren't allergic but end up experincing any irritation, then immediately remove the tegaderm and gently wash the tattoo and start the healing balm process.
Healing stage 3
There is slight peeling and occasionally itchyness, but the overall tattoo is basically healed.
The ink has settled into the skin and you'll get a good idea of the retention
Although tattoos start as black, and are very crisp, healed lines will soften and the colour will shift. Due to the undertone of the skin and healing, the ink will have a blue or green hue. That is just the way ink is in the skin.
Things to understand about healing
No two people heal the same
No two tattoos on the same person heals the same
Some people have tattoos that heal more crisp, others heal softer
Long term: continue to moisturize your tattoo daily to prolong tattoo life. Not using SPF on your tattoo could result in fading and discolouration of the tattoo.
Q: Are fine line tattoos painful?
A: Discomfort is minimal due to thin lines and smaller needles, especially for small designs.
Q: What areas are most painful?
A: Ribs, spine, forehead, neck, ankles, hands, fingers, and feet are the most painful. Fleshier areas hurt less.
Q: Is it easy to do fine line tattoos?
A: They appear simple, but precision is crucial. Errors are hard to hide, so technique is essential.
Q: Will my client bleed during the procedure?
A: Minimal bleeding is common with fine line tattoos, but some clients may bleed more.
Q: Do fine line tattoos fade quickly?
A: All tattoos fade over time, requiring touch-ups. Proper technique and aftercare can minimize this, and sunscreen helps preserve them.
Q: Which body parts fade faster?
A: Tattoos on the feet, knees, fingers, and elbows fade faster due to movement and skin regeneration.
Q: Will I need a 6-week touch-up?
A: Not always. A 6-8 week touch-up is beneficial for assessing healed work, but it may not be necessary.
Q: Can you be allergic to the ink?
A: Yes, ink allergies are possible. Black ink is least likely to cause reactions, while yellow and red inks are more problematic.
Q: Can you do detailed tattoos with this technique?
A: Fine line techniques can enhance detail, but smaller tattoos may require compromises on detail. It’s important to set realistic expectations.
