Lip Blushing is a form of semi-permanent makeup that enhances and defines both the natural shape and color of a client’s natural lips. It can also be used to help mask scars and imperfections of the lips and to create asymmetry.
You have pale natural lips
You want to redefine the contours of your lips
You want to achieve a fuller lip look without fillers

Lip Condition: Lips must be moisturized before the appointment. If they are dry, the appointment will need to be rescheduled, and you will lose your deposit.
Exfoliation: Exfoliate 3 days prior to your appointment using a lip scrub or a homemade mix of honey and brown sugar.
Moisturizing: For the week (or more) leading up to the appointment, moisturize your lips frequently (recommended: Aquaphor).
Cold sores are a risk with lip blush tattoos. If you have a history of cold sores, consult a doctor for anti-viral medication before the procedure. All clients should consider taking L-lysine for 2 weeks before and after the appointment to reduce outbreak risk.
Swelling & Dryness: Expect swollen, dry lips after treatment. Apply ointment several times daily for at least 14 days to prevent dryness, which can affect color healing. Use a clean Q-tip to apply.
Flaking: It's normal for lips to become flaky after tenderness subsides. Do not pick or scratch, as this can hinder pigment absorption. Do not rub lips together. Your lips will look and feel chapped. Keep it moisturized with aquaphor or any other aftercare I may give you.
Sun Protection: Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds pre- and post-procedure. Use sunscreen once healed.
Product Restrictions: Do not use Glycolic, Hydroxy, or fruit acid products on your lips. Avoid direct water pressure, pools, and other bodies of water until healed.
Diet Restrictions: Nothing in particular, you may want to avoid spicy foods and foods that are messy.
Touch-Ups: A touch-up may be needed 8-12 days post-treatment for color retention.
Healing Process: Lips typically heal in three stages: too dark, too light, then just right, which takes about a month. Avoid judging the results for 8 weeks and refrain from friction to the lip area.
Cold Sore Precaution: If you have a history of cold sores, consult a doctor for anti-viral medication before the procedure to prevent outbreaks.
Lip blushing is a lip tattoo that enhances and defines your lips, evening out natural color or adding pigment. Initially, lips will look darker, resembling lipstick, but will soften to a natural tint as they heal.
Results typically last 2-5 years after the initial session and touch-up. Touch-ups may be needed depending on individual preferences. Permanent makeup ink lasts less than body art ink.
Expect moderate swelling, redness, and bruising for the first 5 days. Use ice packs for swelling and avoid picking at any scabs. Color may lighten by up to 40% during healing and can appear uneven at times.
Pain levels vary, but a strong topical anesthetic is used to minimize discomfort.
The procedure takes about 3 hours, including consultation and prep. Numbing cream is applied for 20-30 minutes before starting.
Lip blushing enhances natural color but won’t replace bold lipsticks. You can still wear lipstick over the tattoo, as it remains soft and natural.
Not everyone is a candidate. Review contraindications carefully. If you have previous cosmetic tattoos, consult before booking.
Those prone to cold sores should take prescribed anti-viral medication 48 hours before and after the procedure to prevent outbreaks. Reschedule if you have any skin issues or outbreaks.
We'll discuss your desired shape and color. Bring a lipstick or liquid matte lip color you’d wear daily, and feel free to share photos for reference. I’ll provide recommendations based on your undertone.
You’ll pose for “before” pictures, and then a numbing cream will be applied for 20 minutes while we review aftercare and healing expectations.
Once prep is complete, I’ll outline your new lips. You’ll review and approve the outline before we start the tattooing process, during which you’ll be numbed for comfort.
We’ll take “after” pictures and schedule your follow-up touch-up appointment.
