A separate consultation appointment isn't required, since we go over everything at the start of your initial session. But if you’d like to book a full consult ahead of time, we’ll cover:
Medical history & risk factors
Answering any questions (please check our FAQ first)
Your goals and inspiration (feel free to bring photos)
Trial shape or pigment swatches for visualization
Technique options (brows: microblading vs nano vs combo)
If you have existing pigment from previous permanent makeup — whether brows, eyeliner, or lips — you must email us clear, makeup-free photos before booking.
All previous work must be evaluated for color, shape, saturation, and skin condition. Not all cases are eligible for a touch-up or cover-up. In some cases, a full correction or removal may be required.
Please note: An additional fee may apply when working over previous PMU, depending on complexity.
There’s a small risk of allergic reaction to pigments or numbing agents. A patch test is available by request, but it does not guarantee a reaction-free experience during your procedure. I have yet to have any clients have allergic reactions to permanent makeup. I have however, had clients in the past have allergic reactions to aftercare products so I have switched to Aquaphor. Dry healing is also an option.
Most permanent makeup procedures are done in two sessions. The first appointment is intentionally softer and lighter to allow for adjustments. A touch-up is typically required after 6–12 weeks to perfect color, shape, or coverage.
It takes about 12–20 weeks to see your final healed result. Additional touch-ups beyond the initial two sessions may incur extra charges, depending on your retention and goals.
At your initial appointment, we’ll go over your desired shape, style, and color. You’re encouraged to bring inspiration photos, especially from my own portfolio (IG is great), and for lip blush, bring the lip makeup you wear most often.
Designs are customized based on your face shape, age, skin texture, hair color, and undertones. A separate consultation isn't required, since a full consult is included at the start of your PMU appointment. However, if you'd prefer to discuss everything in advance before committing, you’re welcome to book a consult on its own.
A Note About Pigment vs. Makeup
Permanent makeup is not traditional makeup — it’s pigment placed under the skin, and it heals differently than how makeup looks on the surface.
For brows: We use pre-modified warm-toned pigments to help prevent your healed results from turning grey, ashy, or cool-toned over time. Trust the process — and your artist’s expertise — when it comes to choosing the right shade for your skin tone and undertones.
For lips: The pigment will look much bolder and brighter immediately after the procedure, but expect it to fade significantly during healing. This is normal. The healed result is softer and more natural — like a tinted lip stain rather than lipstick.
Your healed result will look softer and more natural than freshly applied makeup — that’s exactly how PMU is designed to work.
You’ll pose for “before” pictures, and then a numbing cream will be applied for 15 minutes. During this time, we’ll go over aftercare and what to expect during healing.
After prep, I’ll outline your new brows for your approval. Once approved, the tattooing begins using either a permanent makeup machine or hand tool. You’ll receive ongoing numbing for comfort.
We’ll take “after” pictures and schedule your follow-up touch-up appointment before you leave.
